Letter to the Governor from a small northern town...Images of Sarona

A very small village with a very big neighbor...
The only way in for the garbage...

the mountain continues to grow...
Who thinks this wetland is being protected?

About Me

Wendtsc
I am proud to say I am a Wisconsinite who tries to confound and challenge people. I have lived in Naples, Italy; Hampton, Virginia; Bennettsville, South Carolina; Naperville and Chicago, Illinois; and all over Wisconsin from Madison and to Green Bay and Suamico to Maiden Rock and Plum City! I currently live in Seoul, South Korea, however I call Shell Lake, Wisconsin my home. I lean way to the right on most things, but I also believe that government should generally stay out of our lives and out of our pocketbooks and not legislate our morals. I graduated from North Central College in 1992 and then spent 9 years trying to figure out how to feel like what I was doing actually mattered. Well, I can tell you, the career I have chosen can certainly give one a sense of purpose. It has also helped me to appreciate where our country has come from and what the rest of the world expects of us. I hope to share with you some of what I have learned about why everyone else either loves us or hates us, and why we should never take where we live (and especially us in Midwesterners) for granted.
